Welcome to CutTime Productions – the art of inspiring the whole community!

We charged up two acoustic ensembles to lively up symphonic music and musicians both authentically and broadly, both on and off the pedestal of the concert hall, to excel in restaurants, clubs, homes, outdoor, offices, schools and churches. Founded by then-Detroit Symphony Orchestra bassist/composer Rick Robinson, CutTime® develops touring programs plus a community-surprising club classical series to mix a huge catalog of up-tempo symphonic favorites with award-winning, funky-romantic originals. CutTime serves the universal classical spirit to the widest community possible, bringing context, key insights, analogies, fun, activities, interviews and guest artists to welcome new audiences.

CutTime won a $30,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, part of its Knight Arts Challenge to expand the Classical Revolution Detroit series.
